Just watched a movie on the hallmark channel. The movie is called,'Mom at Sixteen'.
The story is about this girl who gets pregnant at 15 and has a baby boy at the age of 16.
In the end the girl addresses her classmates. This is what she says.
You can get pregnant whether you are practising safe sex or whether you are not.
It can happen to you and it can happen to anybody.
They tell us that sex is just one of the things we do.
The movies the magazines tell us that.
They lie to us. The world lies to us...........................
Sex is a big responsibility.

hmmmm....
Thought provoking..
profound...
And Cameron Diaz in Vanilla Sky says, '...even when you do not, your body makes a promise.'
And a promise IS a responsibility.
Good to be here, after a long time. :)
The story some how took me to a different story I had read. It was about a 13 year old Black mom (in apartheite era), who gives birth to a girl without a father or any form of support. This girl grows up to be both physically n sexually assulted and ends up being a mother of a still born at 13.
You should read on to realize that this girl fought all odds to finally become some one we all know as ...OPRAH!
which all 16 yr olds knew that
and then.. another blow in the wrong place..
had seen the movie sometime back..
ab aur kya kahe..??
i kinda liked the way u titled it.., btw..
you've been tagged!
check out 'Riding in car with boys', thats good one too!!
Yeah but its one of those few (or maybe the only) responsibility that you dont want to avoid! :))
personally, sex is one of those damn good things that make living slightly better and easier.
